CyPlus Cadillac Distribution Terminal Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary 

Milestone Marks Steadfast Commitment to Safety and Customers 

Quebec, Canada. July 18, 2007 – Since opening its Cadillac distribution facility in the heart of Eastern Canada’s traditional gold mining area a decade ago, CyPlus - the global leader in cyanide distribution and manufacturing - has handled over 5,000 customer shipments without incident.  

”That milestone is a tribute to management and the employees’ continuing commitment to safety,” said Heinrich Ruth, general manager CyPlus, Canada.  

Built in 1997 and expanded in 2002, it is the only sodium cyanide supplier in Canada delivering liquid product directly to customer storage tanks, eliminating the handling and disposal of packaging materials and the need to dissolve product at the mine site. This increases safety and reduces costs.    

“We have fostered active and ongoing safety and best practice training programs with our employees and customers,” said Ruth. “Our safety and environmental record is a justifiable source of pride.”   

Ruth noted the terminal’s operating, safety and environmental performance is recognized by the International Cyanide Management Institute for meeting its operating code and has received the prestigious Responsible Care® certification of the Canadian Chemical Producers Association.  

“From the outset we envisioned a terminal that would provide an uncommon level of service. That’s what makes Cadillac so special,” said Mario Drapeau, Terminal Supervisor. “Building a ‘service-driven’ culture to meet the needs of our customers has been our success formula.
